Life is complicated and at times problems can arrive that can be typically intrusive, unwanted, annoying, and upsetting. I believe therapy can be supportive for anyone, even when you are feeling good. I am passionate about helping you rediscover your strengths in order to regain a sense of power over your life. The bottom line is that the individual (you) is not the problem, the problem is the problem. At the end of the day, you are the only one that can decide if therapy is right for you at this time. Nobody can force you to come, but you are already displaying a great deal of courage by being here and looking into it as an option.

At this time, so that I can provide services to clients in both Colorado and Montana, I am currently only seeing individuals online via telehealth. Telehealth therapy has given the opportunity to provide services across the state to individuals that might not have access to a therapist in a rural part of Montana or Colorado. I feel great pride in being able to provide services statewide and telehealth makes it possible.

I get this question a lot and the answer is two fold; Yes! absolutely and it depends on you. I always let clients make the final choice on what works for them but encourage them that if they work better with a therapist in-person that is typically going to be a better option for them for EMDR and ART. Alternatively if they work well with a therapist or online in general, EMDR and ART work really well via telehealth. The choice is always yours, and I empower you make a decision that fits your preferneces.

This is totally up to you but generally speaking in our first couple of sessions, I will be gathering more information about you. We will cover initial paperwork including, privacy, practice policies, past treatment, family history and relevant goals. Sometimes these sessions can feel more administrative but they are a good starting point to getting to know you better and discovering different pieces about who you are so that goals can be set and the therapeutic process can begin.

It’s up to you! The therapeutic journey is different for everyone. While some are looking for long-term help and others seek short-term support around a specific issue. There is no set time frame to your healing, I am here to support your process for however long that might look like.
Additionally, with all my clients I make sure that while we not only clarify goals at the beginning of treatment but that we frequently revisit and adjust these goals over time. It's important to me to check in with you and receive feedback on what's working, what's not working and what next steps we can take together.
